A School Year in Completion

The kids who said their verses
It's always interesting to come to an end in something.

Last week was the last week of Classical Conversations. It's weird to think that a school year has gone by and that summer is here again (the weather helps make all this believable).

The song When It's All Been Said and Done comes to mind. Did I live for Christ or for myself?
Did I point them toward Christ or to myself?
Did I show them God's love?

When it's all been said and done, what do I hope was accomplished?

I was pleased with the kids. I was pleased to see them trust. I was pleased to see them try to do the right thing. I was pleased to see them try to be able to say "Psalm 103 verses 1 through...". I was pleased and delighted when their eyes lit up because they understood what a phrase or word meant from their verses.

Tenacious Turtles Trotting Through the Tulips

My challenger :)
Running - it's lovely! What a great way (exercise wise) to begin the day. I didn't run the Tulip Trot last year, but my family did and loved it so when it came time to sign up for it again, I was there.

Sarah, Grace, Ben, and I were the only ones from our family, but Lizzie, Lauren, Susanna, Micah, Bethany, and Aaron were all there as well. It was cold in the morning and quickly after the race as well, but it was perfect during the race and the course was pretty.

I got a PR (personal record) - I think I ran that "fast" (Micah ran it in under 19 minutes) when I was younger, but in recent races, not at all. I ran 26:26 which made me very happy; but, it also made me realize that I can and should be running faster during the week. :/
Let the Running Season Commence!
