Church Camp

Every Labor Day weekend our church family gets together to - well, spend time together. We have our traditions and the impromptu fun things that happen. This year was no different.

Sunday: (This was my favorite day!) Church, food, soccer!!, baptism, youth-making-pizza-night (and clean-up, of course!).
3 people were baptized.
Kaytra, Madeline, myself
After the baptism, we all play in the water. Slippery rocks make for a great water slide and super fun memories.
The Toder

... fantastic people to name. :)
Way too many...

The Toder is working on a slideshow of Church Camp, so I will hopefully upload that when it is completed.

There is another post I want to do, but I don't have pictures for yet (it happened before Sunday). So, please forgive the out-of-ordered-ness of the next post. :)

I'm Off!

Quite honestly, I wrote this post before I got my visa - before I had even heard from D.C. if my visa had been accepted. I have restrained myself though from posting this post until my visa was sitting at my house.
So, here's what has happened:

1. I got my visa today!

2. I bought my plane tickets!

 3. I just finished Level 1 for Russian in Rosetta Stone!

Count down? Yes! I leave Sept. 24th, 2014. I'm leaving in four weeks. :)

I've Got New Boots On!

I just got these in the mail this morning - soooo excited about them. They are super warm and I can't wait to wear them in Russia!

I am still waiting for my visa, but I hope to receive it by the end of next week.

Have a great Friday!

Off to College

It is really strange to go from this old....
...to this old.

How time flies by...

It's hard to believe we've been friends that long.

You're such a fantastic friend!

I'm praying for you, Belle.
Love yah tons!

It's All In

I have all of my paperwork (as of yesterday) sent in for my visa to Russia.

This means that I am just waiting now to hear if they accepted my visa application or denied it. Please pray that this process will go quickly and that there are no (at least) mistakes that will cause problems in the processing.

Fun at the Fair

The Clark County Fair started Friday!
We all did well with what we entered.
This is just a sample of what was entered....
All this was fun - fun Friday to be precise. On Wednesday, we bring our animals (I mean Josh, Grace, James, Zachary, Megan, and Madeline bring their animals) to the fair.

And I have to post about Saturday. "The Deiter 100" took place and we raced all over Clark County and Northern Portland.
This Superman Team was pretty super!
("The Deiter 100" is like the "Amazing Race".)

Oh! By the way, the family I'll be staying with had their twins July 27th! Since the picture was posted on Facebook, I've place it on my blog. :)

Have a fantastic week!

Life. Is. Busy.

Well, apart from working at the ranch this week, I was helping to get our house ready for a three-way-graduation and an 85th birthday celebration.

Saturday Morning:
We started baking pies, and decorating.
Sarah was there, even though I don't have a picture with her yet... :)

 Saturday Evening:
Kelsey and me
Susanna and me
Surprisingly, I only got one picture at the graduation - so if any of you out there got some, I'd love to see them! I'm so blessed by all the people God has surrounded me with. They have blessed me in so many ways.
Top: Lynnae and me
Bottom: Reagan and me
Sunday Afternoon:
We celebrated my Grandma's 85th birthday - Chinese food from Safeway (the best!) and chocolate sodas made it complete.
Grandma Nancy
The soon-2-be birthday girls
(THEY ARE GONNA BE 9!!!)
We also celebrated Meg and Maddie's birthday that will happen later this week. They are excited to go to Exodus Books later this week to find some fantastic books to read this summer.

Fun suitcases from Grandparents!!

Monday Morning:
I got an e-mail from the family I will be staying with in Russia. I will be starting the visa process very soon - like this week.
Wow - this has been a crazy year! I have been so blessed by God.
