Outside of Time

"If you picture Time as a straight line along which we have to travel, then you must picture God as the whole page on which the line is drawn. We come to the parts of the line one by one: we have to leave A behind before we get to B and cannot reach C until we leave B behind. God, from above or outside or all round, contains the whole line, and sees it all."

First Year Dame School

As some of you might know, Megan and Madeline have now officially started volunteering at the Fort; today was their first day of classes. Emily and I both were not able to go, but Anna took some pictures for us. :)

This looks like introduction time for the girls. :)

Birthday Continuation

No, I didn't blog about my birthday, but it happened last week and this week was the completion thereof.

Mom and I :)
Mom and Dad gave me a list of classes at Bob's Red Mill; I like the idea of being able to make food for anyone with any dietary restrictions - so I chose Dark Decadent Desserts (Dad admired my health choice). However, this class was done with all gluten free recipes - they were amazing!!!

Mom and my amazing dinner
This is the class room - Mom and I arrived early and then went to eat a scrumptious and filling dinner.

All vacant save Maya

This was the first dessert we tasted. Wow, it was sooo amazing! Lots and lots of chocolate. I can't even think about eating any more right now. Mom and I didn't realize that we had 3 more desserts to taste. Thus, we "tasted" the rest of the desserts and brought lots of goodies home.
The "leftovers"

I purchased this book that the chief co-authored. Since I was there and the author was there AND the book was there, I purchased it and got is signed. It is an impressive cook book.

For Ben

Ben told me that I hadn't posted in a while. I've drafted several posts, but they - I don't know. They just... don't get posted?

Anyway- four years ago, we all went on vacation to California while Ben stayed home and worked as an intern at the Fort. We made him a video telling him how much we missed him (it's here on Sarah's blog - couldn't get it from youtube).

This year, since I don't think I'll have time to make a video with siblings before he gets home, we just took a group picture.
almost all of us here - we're missing Grace and, of course, Ben

I have been getting ready for the Creation Conference coming up this weekend. My dress is finished (well, I have to put a hook and eye in) and Emily and I are working on a game for the children.

Hope you all are having a fantastic week.
